CSIR DG visits the Department

C.S.I.R., Director General, Prof. Sameer Brahmachari visited the Department of Sunday,9th of May. He was seemingly impressed when he saw the research work carried out at the Dept, first hand.He had an in depth discussions with Prof. L.M. Manocha , Prof.(Mrs.)S. Manocha and the research students and also suggested a future collaborative work with CSIR-ENERGY, where carbon nanotubes is found to be an excellent candidate for Solar Cells.

Ten students cleared the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering aka GATE this year with flying colours!With Debabrata Ghosh at the top at AIR 19th rank, others were not left too far behind!..All except one appeared in the Engineering Sciences (XE) category,the subjects that were mastered were Maths (Compulsory), Materials Science and Polymer Science.The current picture of these and other students of the Department are the anticipative wait for admissions in various colleges/jobs for both PhD and MTech. Well!! MSAA wishes them the best of wishes!!
